The Need

Median rent in Fairfax County, VA is $1157 a month (or $13,884 a year), and minimum wage jobs produce only $10,712 annually. With a majority of a family’s income going to housing, there is little financial cushion for a crisis. A medical emergency or automotive trouble can quickly turn a self-sufficient family into a one in need. Our Daily Bread provides a safety net, often needs unmet by other organizations.
