On September 25th, we will host a multi-tiered wine party that begins with a four course meal for the first forty people. After dinner, we will re-open the doors for a Champagne reception and large-format wine auction to benefit Our Daily Bread, here in Fairfax.

Back to School Program 2008...
With your support, ODB's Back to School program provides children the means to purchase school supplies for the upcoming year. As of August 5, 205 children have applied to receive school suppiles through our program. 80 of these are as yet unmatched. Whole Foods Community Giving Day Benefits ODB...
On July 23, your purchases at the Whole Foods Market Fair Lakes benefited your community! Whole Foods donated 5 percent of that day's net sales (tbd) to Our Daily Bread through its quarterly Community Giving Days program. Just by doing your shopping at the Fair Lakes store that day between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m., you helped less fortunate families throughout Fairfax County. Thank you to Whole Food Market and ODB supporters!
ODB Receives Chocolate Festival Grant...Our Daily Bread received a $3,000 grant from proceeds from the 2008 Chocolate Lover's Festival, the City of Fairfax recently announced. Each year, the Chocolate Lover's Festival Committee donates a portion of the profits from the annual event to a local charity serving City of Fairfax residents. ODB Financial Literacy Program Benefits Fairfax Latino Community ...
Our Daily Bread recently sponsored a budgeting workshop attended by upwards of 350 people! This unique event, cosponsored with Commerce Bank and the Hispanic Committee of Virginia (HCV), helped the Fairfax Latino community build financial independence by learning basic budgeting skills and strategies. Our Daily Bread is offering budgeting workshops to help residents take control of their household finances before they are in financial crisis. The workshops, which are free and open to the public, help participants understand basic household budgeting and credit reports. Read more about this program here.
Looking for a Service Project for Your Group?
ODB is currently seeking food coordinators for its weekly food deliveries to needy families in Fairfax County. This is a rewarding and fun group activity that can be accomplished in a few hours on a weekend. Read more here or contact Food Manager Christina Garris at food@odbfairfax.org.
