How You Can Help

Immediate need:

We need Food Coordinators to organize deliveries on December 21 and in the coming year!

Can you rally your work group or congregation to buy, sort and deliver groceries for 30 families (or even 15!)?

A volunteer opportunity with Our Daily Bread isn’t necessarily a long-term, labor-intensive commitment.

For example, you can:

  • Teach a client budgeting skills. Become a Financial Mentor or Budget Class Instructor
  • Add your name to the list for occasional emergency deliveries.
  • Take intake calls from county social workers on a weekly or fill-in basis.
  • Provide a holiday meal and gifts for a family in need.
  • Contribute your talents – as a grant writer, accountant, marketing professional, event coordinator, writer or whatever your unique skill may be.
  • Organize a group to walk for ODB in the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless walkathon on November 22. Visit http://www.helpthehomelessdc.org/ for more information.

Call us at 703-273-8829 to learn how you can help or email us at financial@ODBfairfax.org
